Early life and education

In 1960s, while studying at

Kō was a visiting professor at

Death

Kō died in July 2024 at the age of 85. His death was announced on 26 August 2024, on Facebook by Chen Chung-guang, chairman of the Taiwan Independence Federation. Taiwanese mass media reported Ko bunyu's death, but Japanese mass media did not report it at all.
