History

The earliest known record of the settlement dates from 1701. From 18th to the first half of the 19th centuries village's residents belonged to the social estate of state peasants. By the beginning of the twentieth century, village had a mosque, a madrasa, a zemstvo hospital, a veterinary paramedic station, a blacksmith shop, a state-owned wine shop, 2 beer shops, a manufactor, 5 small shops and a bazaar on Wednesdays.
