Taxonomy and systematics

''Kurixalus berylliniris'' was described in 2016. It resembles ''Kurixalus eiffingeri'' but displays some morphological differences and a different reproductive season. Furthermore, molecular data and male advertisement call differentiate it from ''Kurixalus eiffingeri'' and '' Kurixalus wangi'', its
