History
The first written mention of Kokořín is from 1320.
Sights
The main landmark is the
Kokořín Castle. It was originally a medieval fortress carved in the local sandstone. In the mid-14th century, it was rebuilt into the castle. Today it is open to the public and offers guided tours.
