City Commissioners. Berfield attended the University of Central Florida and later received an MBA at Northwestern University. In between stints as a State Representative, she served as a deputy secretary for the Florida Department of Health, and afterwards was a business analyst and lobbyist for All Children's Hospital.


Florida House of Representatives

In 2000, she ran for and was elected to the Florida House of Representatives representing the 50th district. She did not file for re-election after three terms and instead ran for the Florida Senate in 2006, but lost to Charlie Justice. In June 2021, she announced that she was running for the
