''Kedaragaula'' is an asymmetric rāgam that does not contain ''gandharam'' and ''dhaivatam'' in the ascending scale. It is an ''audava-sampurna'' rāgam (or ''owdava'' rāgam, meaning pentatonic ascending scale).
