''Karnataka Shuddha Saveri'' is a symmetric rāgam that does not contain ''gandharam'' or ''nishādam''. It is a symmetric pentatonic scale (''audava-audava'' ragam in Carnatic music classification - ''audava'' meaning 'of 5').
