She is a member of the Nicaraguan Association of Women Writers, in Spanish, ''Asociación Nicaragüense de Escritoras'' (ANIDE). She is a board member of the Foundation for Cinematography and Images, in Spanish, ''Fundación para la Cinematografía y la imagen'' (FUCINE).
