Miller was born in

. He was born into a large blended family, having five siblings. He was a firefighter before moving to Atlanta, to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian in 2005. Karlous mainly started with Quincy Bond's Phat Comedy group in 2008. This started his career in 2010.
