The Kangeyam Bull is a breed of cattle that is indigenous to the area around Kangeyam. The Kangeyam bull is known for its superior draught strength and adaptability to poor nutritional conditions. Kangeyam South is one of the driest parts of Tamil Nadu. Kangeyam average rainfall around 600mm.It is highly dependent on the rainfall during the months of October and November. About 250-300 mm of rainfall is available during this time. During the southwest monsoon, there is a high level of wind(wind gust around 70kmhr), which results in less rainfall. January to March is mostly without rain. April and May are the hottest months of the year with thundershowers during the day.
