Biography

She joined the maoist insurgency dropping out of school while a tenth grader. After the maoists joined the peace process, she went back and completed high school. She became the Minister for Youth and Sports in the Bhattarai cabinet. In the 2017 legislative election, she was elected from East Rukum-1 constituency under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system, representing

She was one of only six women to be elected to parliament under the FPTP system in that election.
