) is a film director, editor, and screenwriter. José Luis Torres Leiva won the FIPRESCI Prize in Rotterdam with his first feature, El cielo, la tierra y la lluvia (2008). The second, Verano (2011), premiered in the Orizzonti section in Venice. El viento sabe que vuelvo a casa (The Wind Knows I'm Coming Back Home) participated in San Sebastian's Zabaltegi section in 2016, returning to the same section in 2017 (also the year he was president of the International Film Students Meeting jury) with the short El sueño de Ana. He is currently preparing the feature Vendrá la muerte y tendrá tus ojos.
