He scored his first goal in the category on 30 May, but in a 1–3 loss at former club Ponte Preta. Gil rescinded his contract with ''Coxa'' in December 2015, and signed for ''Chape'' permanently.


Death

On 28 November 2016, whilst at the service of Chapecoense, Gil was among the fatalities of the
