Prior to playing professionally, Pacheco attended

On December 25, 2014, Pacheco re-signed with the Diamondbacks on a minor league contract that included an invitation to Spring Training. Pacheco was selected to the Diamondbacks’ 40-man roster on April 5, 2015. After hitting .242 in 29 games, he was designated for assignment on June 6. He elected free agency on October 5, 2015.
