__NOTOC__ Johann-Heinrich Eckhardt (3 December 1896 – 15 May 1945) was a German general in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves of Nazi Germany. Eckhardt surrendered to the American troops on 8 May 1945 and died in custody on 15 May 1945.
