Demographics

In the 2010 Mexican Census, the municipality of Jilotepec recorded a population of 15,313 inhabitants living in 3734 households. The 2015 Intercensal Survey estimated a population of 16,682 inhabitants in Jilotepec, of which 3.97% reported being of

Economy

The main economic activity in Jilotepec is agriculture, involving mainly the cultivation of coffee, sugarcane, corn and beans. Cattle and pigs are also raised.
