Moore was born and grew up in

and attended Oberlin High School. Moore was named the Patriot Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Back of the Year as a senior. Moore was also an All-PAC selection in basketball and played in the Ohio North-South All-Star Game during his senior year.
