Construction and career

''Nire'', built at the

, was launched on 22 December 1919 and completed on 31 March 1920. She was disarmed in 1939 and became a tender the following year. The ship became a training ship on 15 December 1944 and was renamed ''Tomariura No. 1''. The ship was scrapped at Uraga by 15 August 1948.Gardiner & Gray, p. 244
