in MUBC colours she won a national title in the women's elite coxed four and placed second with Westendorf in the elite pair. At the 1982 Championships she won Australian titles in all three senior women's sweep oared boat classes. She repeated this feat in 1983 when she stroked all three of those winning boats. Om 1984 she won titles in the women's four and the eight. Marshall first made state selection for Victoria in 1981 when she was selected to stroke the women's senior coxed four which raced and won the ULVA Trophy at the Interstate Regatta within the annual
