History

This city is the place of victory of the Persians against the Afghans (May 4 to July 1, 1729). As a result, the Persians were able to advance and capture the city of Herat. On February 13, 2021, due to resource mismanagement and worker incompetence and mismanagement hundreds of tanker trucks were burnt by a fire incident at Islam Qala. On the early morning of 9th July 2021 the Taliban captured the town, which is the largest border crossing between
