On August 18, 1926, Otto Raubenheimer from the US, the Austrian Ludwig Winkler and the Germans Fritz Ferchl, Georg Urdang, Walther Zimmermann, founded the ''Gesellschaft für Geschichte der Pharmazie'' (Society for the History of Pharmacy) in
