On February 3, 2020, the Federal Trade Commission sued Edgewell to block the merger, stating that bringing Schick and Harry's together could hurt competition and Edgewell backed away from the deal. In March 2020, Harry's launched Cat Person as an independent startup out of the company's innovation group, Harry's Labs. Cat Person sells a lineup of cat care products.
