History

The station was opened when the railway started in 1890. It was located near a small settlement where the railroad crossed the road to Kandestederne. The original station building was enlarged in 1921 based on designs by
Ulrik Adolph Plesner Ulrik Adolph Plesner, usually known as Ulrik Plesner (17 May 1861 in Vedersø – 22 November 1933 in Skagen) was an innovative Danish architect who designed in a National Romantic style at the beginning of the 20th century. He is remembered in p ...
. In 1967, the station was set down to a halt. The former station building was sold in 1969.
