In particular, administratively, Hukeng includes the valley of the Nanxi (南溪, "South Creek"), where several villages (Yangduo, Xinnan, Nanzhong, Nanjiang, Shijia) consisting mostly of tulou form what some writers have dubbed the "Nanxi Great Wall of Tulou".
