The Gobioff Foundation was founded by Howard Gobioff in 2007, months before his sudden death in March 2008. His directive was to "make the world a better place." The Foundation funds the same causes that Gobioff himself supported and awards grants and microgrants in the fields of arts and human rights. Among other initiatives, the Gobioff Foundation supported the Think Small to Think Big arts microgrant program in
