Recording for the EP was completed in June 2010 and it was released on July 6, 2010 for purchase at concerts and on July 20 for purchase from their website. On July 13 Shawn Stewart of the radio station 103.7 the mountain released on her blog an email from Terry Clark that was directed to friends and family which contained links to download the EP for free. Soon thereafter she received a request from Barry Privett, the lead singer, to remove the links.
