Career

Buzzell was first elected to the House in 1916, and was re-elected in 1918 and 1920. In 1922, he successfully sought a seat in the Senate. Following re-election to that body in 1924, Buzzell was chosen as the Senate President from 1925 to 1926. Buzzell left the Senate in 1926 and unsuccessfully sought his party's nomination for United States Senate to replace the recently deceased
