History
The building was created by the conversion of an early
Victorian house for use as the headquarters of the
Scottish Horse

in around 1900.
The regiment was mobilised at the drill hall in August 1914 before deployed to
Gallipoli

In 1940, during the

In 1947, the Scottish Horse rejoined the
Territorial Army list with its HQ back at Dunkeld. In 1956, an amalgamation was announced with the
Fife and Forfar Yeomanry
