Climate

Based on the Köppen climate classification, Hawk Mountain is located in a

zone with cold, snowy winters, and mild summers. Winter temperatures can drop below -20 °C with wind chill factors below -30 °C. In terms of favorable weather, June through September are the best months for viewing and climbing. Precipitation runoff from Hawk Mountain flows into the Athabasca River.
