Business career

Following his military service, he joined the family real estate development company, Rose Associates, founded by his father and his uncle, David Rose in 1928. Among other major projects, Daniel Rose led the development of Pentagon City in Alexandria, Virginia adjacent to Ronald Reagan National Airport, and 99 High Street and One Financial Center adjacent to South Station in downtown Boston as President of the firm, and became Chairman after the death of his brother, Frederick P. Rose in 1999. As an institutional consultant, Daniel Rose was responsible for the creation and implementation of the innovative “housing for the performing arts” concept for New York's Manhattan Plaza.
