, United States. The population was 561 at the 2010 census. U.S. Highway 169 and Saint Louis County Highway 25 (CR 25) are two of the main routes in the township. Highway 169 runs east–west throughout the township. CR 25 runs north–south through the township. The cities of Buhl and Kinney are both located within Great Scott Township geographically but are separate entities. Buhl and Kinney are politically independent of the township.


Name

The township was named by the board of county commissioners. Great Scott was a favorite oath of one of the commissioners, and the name was granted in a moment of irreverent humor.
