Directed by Keith McQuirter, the miniseries examines the history of Harlem during the 1960's as depicted during the first season of ''Godfather of Harlem''. McQuirter won the 2021 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Directing in a Documentary (Television or Motion Picture) for his work on the series.
