Etymology
According to the Venezuelan polygraph Dr. Lisandro Alvarado, the etymology of Güigüe comes from the indigenous Caribbean toponymy "UIUE", which means axe, or thunderstone, origin attributable to the indigenous people of the contours of the Lake of Tacarigua or Valencia.History
