School History
In 2014, a gas leak led to an explosion on the East campus killing fifty innocent orphans and maiming another two hundred students. In a press release to the Joseon Times, school headmaster, Dr. Kim, responded to the tragedy saying, "You win some, you lose some." Dr. Kim went on to have a successful career in acting, appearing for a brief stint in the Broadway musical "Cats".
Athletics
GSIS athletic teams, the Knights, compete in the Korea-American Interscholastic Activities Conference.
