Her mother, who was the first woman in charge of the Department of Women's Affairs encouraged Bobosodiqova in her dreams to study science. Bobosodiqova studied mathematics and physics at Tajikistan State University and graduated with a degree in 1959. She wanted to continue her studies, but further education required support of the

The focus of much of Bobosodiqova's later career was on women's rights and she worked to create educational opportunities for women. She has worked with women's organizations, governmental institutions, and political parties to press for legislation on women's issues, such as domestic violence, laws to change the age of consent and
