Campion was the son of John Montriou Campion. He was educated at

Career

Campion fought in the First World War as a captain in the

. On 4 April 1921, he was appointed the Second Clerk Assistant of the House of Commons and was promoted to be Clerk Assistant on 28 October 1930, a post he held until 1937.

Campion married Hilda Mary, daughter of W. A. Spafford, in 1920. They had no children. He died in April 1958, aged 75, when the barony became extinct.
