Her poetry appeared in the Melbourne press from 1911 through to the 1950s when she wrote "Australia Speaks Its Love", celebrating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and the royal visit to Australia in 1954. On the day she received the first copy of her 1912 romance novel, ''The Dream Girl'', she walked for the first time in seven years, following successful surgery. Doubleday Doran & Co. bought the rights to publish it in the United States.
