, he became the director of Radio Free and United Lebanon from the years 1984 to 1987. During this last year of 1987, he was appointed as the Director of the National Press in the North of Lebanon. He was also a member of the Association of Writers, Composers and Publishers of Music (SASEM). George Yammine was known for writing lyrics to songs that ranged from a number of different topics, and were sung by a number of famous Lebanese artists.
