Frantzis wrote ''Strangers at Ithaca: The Story of the Spongers of Tarpon Springs'' (St. Petersburg, FL: Great Outdoors Association, 1962; ), an account of the sponge diving, sponge divers and development of the Greek community in Tarpon Springs.
