He was a co-founder of the ''Orientalistischen Literatur-Zeitung'' and the ''Mythologischen Bibliothek''. With Wolfgang Schultz, Hüsing founded ''Mitra. Monatsschrift für vergleichende Mythenforschung'', which edited until 1920.
