History

It is the oldest daily newspaper published to this day in Bialystok. It was established on 1 September 1951 under the name of "Gazeta Białostocka", and was used as the mouthpiece of the Voivodeship Central Committee of the

. The first editor-in-chief was Stefan Pawlata. The newspaper had a competition with "
