FRS or Fast Reliable Seaways (FRS) is a German transportation company specialising in
passenger ferry A ferry is a ship, watercraft or amphibious vehicle used to carry passengers, and sometimes vehicles and cargo, across a body of water. A passenger ferry with many stops, such as in Venice, Italy, is sometimes called a water bus or water taxi ...
and freight transportation. Originally a regional passenger ferry operator founded in 1866, it has expanded in recent years to an international business group and became one of Europe's leading ferry operators. FRS provides conventional ferries, as well as high speed ferries. With 59 vessels and approximately 2,000 employees worldwide, FRS is transporting 7.9 million passengers and 2.1 million vehicles per year.
