Career
After
finishing his secondary education in
Skien in 1909 and
Kristiania Commerce School in 1910, Blom worked abroad for several years. He travelled in England, Russia and France from 1910 to 1914 and in East Asia and America from 1916 to 1917. He established his own company in 1921, and in 1927 he was hired as chief executive officer of industrial company
De-No-Fa.
He retired in 1959 and was succeeded by his son Chr. Fredrik Blom, but continued as chair until 1965.[
