Description and history

Built in 1973, the fountain is bronze and in the shape of a rose. It is surrounded by 250 rose bushes and other plants. An inscription says "May you find peace in this garden." The fountain was made possible through a $28,000 bequest from Donald Card Sloan, who was a former prime minister of the
