Etymology

''Foliicolous'' simply means 'growing upon leaves' whilst ''epiphyllous'' derives from the Greek ''epi'' meaning on or over and ''phyllous'' means leaf so 'over leaf' and ''hypophyllous'' means 'under leaf'.
