;Bids * * * * * FIBA Africa decided to announce the host country in March 2024. On 12 March, Angola were reported to be given the hosting rights. On 26 March 2024, Angola received the hosting rights, beating fellow bidders Egypt, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia. The qualification draw was held on 24 November 2023 in South Africa. Games will be played from February to November 2024, to determine the 16 nations who will qualify for the tournament.
