''Eriocapitella tomentosa'' along with four other taxa ( ''E. hupehensis'', ''E. japonica'', ''E.  vitifolia'', and ''E.'' × ''hybrida'') are known as fall-blooming anemones. In its native habitat, ''E. tomentosa'' flowers from July to October.
