Dr. Erick Mariga was born on 29 December 1988 in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2012, he graduated from the University of the Western Cape in Belleville, South Africa, with a M.A. in Development Studies. In 2021, he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from the same university. He lists specializations in "Peace, Conflict Resolution and Fragility Mitigation".
Dr. Mariga currently serves as a Regional Fragility and Resilience Coordinator with the African Development Bank in Pretoria, South Africa.
