Philippines. The genus name is commonly misspelled "''Engelhardtia''", a "correction" made by the original author
Carl Ludwig Blume in 1829 and persistent until today, as it was thus entered in the ''
Index Kewensis''; the original spelling is ''Engelhardia''.
