She worked as a supply pastor in Webster City from 1917-1919 and returned there in 1925 after six years of travel and lecturing. She was the minister in Webster City until 1946 and lived there until her death in 1952. She earned an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Lombard College's Ryder School of Divinity in 1907 and in 1910 she was invited to address the International Congress of Religious Liberals in Berlin, Germany.
